Dacka learns to ride…

DACKS!!! Today you jumped on your bike and rode and rode and rode! We’ve been practicing for a while now with varying success. But today I was so proud of you as you pedaled and steered all the way to the reserve and back. I had the biggest smile on my face as I watched my little baby become a big clever boy. I adore spending time with you and want to help you believe that you can do absolutely anything you dream. x

Things my Dacka says…

A conversation that took place in the bath one night.

Jack – ‘Kade’s got a girly voice’

Mum – ‘Why?’

Jack – ‘Because he squeals all the time’

He then went on to explain… ‘Girls say ‘ I want to go to the hairdresser…’ (Said in a highpitched “girly” voice) and ‘Boy’s say ‘ I want to be a pirate…’ (Said in a deep “boy” voice)

Mum – said nothing… was too busy hysterically laughing!

One morning I was getting dressed after a shower and heard Jack having a conversation with someone…. I snuck down the passage so I didn’t disturb and found him “chatting” on his “phone”  (a real mobile with the battery taken out).  I heard his one sided conversation to his dad ‘How you been mate? I’m just doing some tidying. Yep, we’re going to Gav’s to be adjusted (our chiro). See you later Mate. He then ran around the house yelling ‘mum, mum. Dad want’s to talk to you…’

Other little tidbits…

‘Please don’t disturb me, I’m fixing the remote’

When I was getting up him for not eating his dinner… ‘I’m going to get a pich pich (gun noise) and gun you’…. hmmmm….

Plonk…

Kardi I always know when you’re tired because you turn in to ‘the plonker’. You roll around and plonk your self on every pillow and every person you can find. When you roll on top of Dacka he absolutely squeals with delight and can not stop  laughing. I give up with it being wind down time and pretty much read your bedtime story to myself as you two are in your own “brother” world which i just can’t interfere with… xx

It’s a nappa…

Kardie.. the cheek of it! For the last week you have been basically sitting on top of the table during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Still sick, Mama doesn’t have the power or energy to keep you contained in your high chair now that you are able to maneuver around the strap. This afternoon you sat with me on the deck eating grapes while Dacka was still asleep. After a few grapes you thought it would be more fun to pull off the grapes and throw them on the ground. When you came across a few tough ones you ‘cracked the poos’ and threw the whole bag on the floor instead… This pretty much sums you up! You are as affectionate and amazing as you are impatient and cranky! You are standing up more than ever and the last couple of days you’ve been stumbling a couple of steps before crashing to the ground. I love watching the determination flood across your face as you finally realise how to put it all together… x
